Pack 1280 is located in Potomac, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C. We welcome any K-5 children in the area. Currently, the pack has scouts from Cold Spring ES, Ritchie Park ES, Saint Raphael School, Stone Mill ES, and more! We “do our best” to be a pack kids and parents are proud to be a part of! Our pack calendar is full of adventure, from hiking and camping in the great outdoors, to STEAM activities and racing in our annual Pinewood Derby. We also undertake a number of service projects each year and contribute to our community. We look forward to a great year of learning and fun!

Memorial Day Parade
March with Pack 1280 in the Rockville Memorial Day Parade on Mon 5/25 @ 9:45AM. Memorial Day commemorates and honors military personnel that have died in the service of our country. The theme this year is 250, which also celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States. Let's get those Class A's out and represent Pack 1280 in this wonderful celebration!

Pack 1280 will be celebrating this year's achievements at our Blue & Gold Ceremony on Sat 6/6 @ 5:30PM. Scouts will be recognized for their hard work and dedication to our program! Please bring a potluck dish to share.

Spring Campout
(May 2026)
What an awesome time in the great outdoors! There was a bit of rain on Friday night, but the rest of the weekend was perfect weather. Scouts hiked, tied knots, built shelters, made s'mores, cooked hot dogs over the fire, grilled hamburgers, and told jokes around the campfire! Big thanks to Troop 944 for leading many of the activities!
Tree Trekkers

A very cold and wet day for our Tree Trekkers adventure this year...BUT that did not stop scouts from exploring and having a fun time in the trees!
