Pack 1280 is located in Potomac, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, D.C. We welcome any K-5 children in the area. Currently, the pack has scouts from Cold Spring ES, Ritchie Park ES, Saint Raphael School, Stone Mill ES, and more! We “do our best” to be a pack kids and parents are proud to be a part of! Our pack calendar is full of adventure, from hiking and camping in the great outdoors, to STEAM activities and racing in our annual Pinewood Derby. We also undertake a number of service projects each year and contribute to our community. We look forward to a great year of learning and fun!
July Hike
Join Pack 1280 for our July Hike on Sat 6/25 @ 11:30AM. Meet at the Cabin John Trailhead on River Road. We'll continue our adventure north on the Cabin John Trail. From River Rd to Bradley Blvd is 1.2 miles one way, so we may split into a shorter-hike group and a longer-hike group, depending on attendance.

Memorial Day Parade
(May 2026)
Pack 1280 had a terrific time marching in the Rockville Memorial Day Parade! It was a wet morning, but scouts were proud to represent their Pack in the parade!
Spring Campout
(May 2026)
What an awesome time in the great outdoors! There was a bit of rain on Friday night, but the rest of the weekend was perfect weather. Scouts hiked, tied knots, built shelters, made s'mores, cooked hot dogs over the fire, grilled hamburgers, and told jokes around the campfire! Big thanks to Troop 944 for leading many of the activities!
